African Art Museum of the SMA Fathers
One of five museums worldwide founded by the Society of African Missions, this remarkable collection spans traditional masks, sculptures, textiles, and everyday objects from across sub-Saharan Africa. The museum offers a rare window into the diverse cultures, spiritual traditions, and daily life of African peoples — a genuinely unique cultural institution in Bergen County.
Tenafly Nature Center
A member-supported nature preserve stewarding ~400 acres of hardwood forest and wetland. Seven miles of trails wind through the preserve, with a butterfly house, bird aviaries, and year-round programs for all ages. Summer day camps, Forest School, and naturalist-led walks make this a go-to destination for Bergen County families.
Tenafly Public Library
A wonderful community library with strong children's and young adult collections. Hosts storytimes, STEM activities, summer reading programs, and cultural events. Lovely building with a cozy atmosphere — kids love the dedicated children's room.
