Ridgewood 4th of July Evening Entertainment & Fireworks
Veterans Field, 131 N. Maple Avenue, Ridgewood
Ridgewood's Fourth of July celebration at Veterans Field. Gates open at 6:00 PM. Live music by The Dad's Night Band (additional performer TBD), followed by a 50/50 drawing at 8:30 PM. National Anthem at 9:10 PM, then fireworks by Fireworks by Grucci immediately after. Beer garden and 9 food trucks (pizza, Latin, empanadas, Thai, desserts) open 6-9:15 PM. Security checks at entry; no alcohol on field, no dogs. Park downtown and walk - limited handicap parking at Graydon Pool lot. Rain date: July 5th.

Places to Visit in Ridgewood
Downtown Ridgewood
Bergen County's most vibrant walkable Main Street, anchored by the NJ Transit train station. Independent boutiques, bakeries, specialty food shops, and cafes line the blocks around Ridgewood Avenue. The village hosts outdoor concerts, a weekly farmers market, Art Night Out, and a beloved Holiday Stroll every December.
Old Paramus Reformed Church & Cemetery
One of Bergen County's oldest congregations, organized in 1735. Both British and American forces used the church as a field hospital during the Revolutionary War, and Washington's troops encamped nearby. The 1800 church building still stands alongside an 18th-century churchyard with historic headstones — a quietly affecting connection to the county's deepest history.
Ridgewood Public Library
One of Bergen County's finest public libraries with an outstanding children's department, regular author events, film screenings, and community programs. Known for its excellent selection and welcoming atmosphere. A great rainy-day destination.
Schoolhouse Museum
An authentic one-room schoolhouse built in 1872 and preserved by the Ridgewood Historical Society. The museum houses a collection of historic artifacts documenting Ridgewood's evolution from a small agricultural community to a thriving Bergen County suburb. An excellent stop to pair with a visit to the Ridgewood Public Library nearby.
