First Reformed Church of Hackensack

Organized in 1686 and one of the oldest continuously active congregations in New Jersey. The striking 1791 brownstone church — known as "The Church on the Green" — anchors Hackensack's historic core. The surrounding village green was a rallying point and site of skirmishes during the Revolution, witnessed by this enduring congregation.
